Well, it’s over or is it? We remember when the Alpha chip launched! After all, the name InDECs might give you a clue as to our heritage and roots! HP may not be interested in keeping this marvelous technology around for much longer but we here at Indecs most certainly are!
We have spent 15 years gathering thousands or spare parts, complete units and hired clever, mostly bearded, VMS and UNIX expert bods and we’re not about to see Alpha disappear without a fight! We look after so many of these all over the country that some of them feel like family! As with family, we say we love them all but of course we have our favorites. The GS and ES are the heavyweights covering some really beefy applications from ticketing to multi-million pound billing runs. We just find them a bit more challenging and interesting than their DS cousins! However, we look after them all and try and give them equal amounts of love and attention.

We are amazed at the prices some of the manufacturers and larger independent support companies try and charge for this support. We have to say we are equally amazed that their hollow boasts of competence as often so unfounded. The majority that we meet do not have the skills direct so they simply employ us and add a margin which you foot the bill for! Now that’s what I call a good business model. How much old rope have you bought so far?? Let’s be direct. You should buy direct and save yourself some time and money. Or if you are a reseller or maintainer, get on the bandwagon and simply sell our services on to your client and make some easy money!
We can tell about the clients we look after and they are household names. They are the Elton John and Madonna equivalents of Alpha installations! You’ll be impressed! When you see how much you save you are in serious danger of needing some help to be placed back on your perch
